Executive DirectorA respected professional in the field of mental health and chemical dependency since 1996, Sarah specializes in dual-diagnosis (treating both addiction and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.) Ms. Sacks received her graduate degree from Barry University in May of 1997, and she is well-known in the community for her integrity and commitment to her patients. Ms. Sacks is affiliated with the National Association of Social Work, and is a proud member of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) in which she served as President Elect in 2007.
Director of OperationsAmanda Rutherford, CAC, Admissions Director, has over 14 years of experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse. Her experience provides a thorough understanding of the clinical, administrative, and Human Resource needs of a successful facility. Ms. Rutherford is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of compassionate care at La Via. She is a Certified Addictions Counselor, currently pursuing her degree in Social Work.
Family TherapistMK O’Regan, LMHC CAP, Family Therapist, graduated from Biscayne College in 1961 with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Ms. O’Regan facilitates the weekly Family Support Program at La Via Detox and Transformations Recovery. Previously, she was the Director of Family Services at the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach.
Case ManagerApril West is our case manager with over 10 years experience in administrative duties, and a bachelor's degree in law enforcement administration & sociology. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in human/social services and family intervention. Her experience has provided her with a great deal of understanding in the areas of mental health, substance abuse and administrative work.
Dr. Emilio Duboy
PsychiatristEmilio Duboy, MD, Psychiatrist, has been a practicing psychiatrist since 1990. Dr. Duboy focuses on treating the overall psychological well-being of patients, including the detection, evaluation and management of various forms of mental illness and substance abuse. Dr. Duboy has worked in several psychiatric settings, including hospitals and substance abuse treatment programs. Dr. Duboy’s specialties include treatment of addiction and mood disorders.
Lead NurseAudrey Noto, LPN, has practiced nursing for 39 years. Ms. Noto’s experience includes working in medical offices, hospitals, and substance abuse facilities. Ms. Noto’s wide range of knowledge is beneficial in assessing and evaluating patients.
